SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Sierra Central Credit Union SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM is proud to offer student scholarships as part of our YOUTH philanthropic donations. We award twenty, $1,000 scholarships each year.

APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED
January 1 - April 1 (annually)

If you are a high school senior, current college student or prior winner, still attending college, we look forward to receiving your application!

Applications are accepted January 1 - April 1 each year. The April 1 deadline is for completed applications to be received by. Winners are announced at our Annual Meeting for the Members, May 22, 2024.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Applications must be from: graduating high school seniors, current college students or past SCCU Scholarship winners who are still attending college.
- Applications must be from a current Member in good standing or have a parent or legal guardian that is a member, in good standing.
- Completed Application due by deadline to include (transcripts, biography questionnaire, written essay and at least one reference).
SCHOLARSHIP INQUIRIES HAVE CLOSED
*Scholarship recipients are determined by a panel of judges based on the completion and quality of a biography questionnaire, essay, grade point average, demonstrated leadership skills, and active participation in a variety of school and community activities. Application packages must be fully completed by transcripts, biography questionnaire, essay and reference(s) and returned to Sierra Central Credit Union by USPS. Please indicate on your biography questionnaire if you are a high school senior, current college student or applying for a renewal. Incomplete applications will be disqualified. All information received is considered confidential and is reviewed by the Sierra Central Scholarship Committee and its designees.
